Smart Health Monitoring
The WITO Caddy utilizes a system called bio-impedance. Bio-impedance are tiny electrical impulses that are emitted by the Caddy. These impulses run through your body and measures the resistance to those impulses. The Caddy uses a proprietary algorithm to interpret these resistance measurements and produce a glucose score.
The Caddy device has sensors on the underside and sensors on the top. To activate the device, two fingers are placed on the sensors on the upper side. The bio-impedance impulses then go through the body in two directions. This two-direction movement provides enhanced distribution of the impulses and yields highly accurate glucose readings.
During development in the engineering lab, the Caddy exhibited accuracy within 1% of glucometer blood draw. The Company plans to conduct clinical protocols in the near future that will provide expanded data to the medical community and consumers.
The glucose score is reported in the user’s smart phone through the WITO app. Additionally, the system provides a consumer portal via the WITO web site. All this information is stored confidentially in the WITO cloud. Both the app and the portal provide history, trends, analytics, and educational materials for pre-diabetics and diabetics.
WITO intends to commercialize the Caddy as a Class II Over-the Counter device. It will be available directly from WITO via the web site. The Caddy will include the Caddy device and a software license. The Caddy device will be a one time purchase and the software license will be a monthly automatic charge to a credit card. The device will be under warrantee.
